A patient has been charged in the assault of three staff members at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care in Penetanguishene.
On Monday, Southern Georgian Bay OPP charged a 32-year-old patient with assault, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
Police say the charges stem from the assault of three Waypoint staff members last Tuesday. According to the OPP, a weapon was used in one of the assaults.
The three staff members were taken to a local hospital for treatment and have since been released.
The accused will appear before a Barrie court at a future date.
