York Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a Newmarket robbery.

According to police, a man entered a clothing store located at 18025 Yonge St. on Thursday and approached the clerk. The suspect was wearing a red bandanna over his face and allegedly presented a knife and demanded cash.

Police say when another employee came out from a back storage room, the man fled the scene. No one was injured and nothing was taken.

The suspect is described as a white male between 40 and 50-years-old, 5’6”, with a thin build and a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a bandanna, blue latex gloves, a grey t-shirt, and denim shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
