A home on Albert Street South in Orillia was destroyed by an overnight fire.

The fire broke out around midnight Friday morning. A neighbour noticed it and quickly let the elderly woman living inside know.

The neighbour helped the woman out of the building, and there were no injuries.

Fire crews remained at the scene all night.
