19th Annual Barrie Film Festival

Location: Barrie – Uptown Theatre – 55 Dunlop Street West
Details: This ten-day festival is back, featuring a selection of the finest films from Canada and around the world. Returning this year are the following popular programs/receptions: Opening Night Party, Short Film Competition showcase/awards presentation, After Party and Q&As with special guests.
56th Annual Stamp Exhibition and Bourse
Date: Saturday Oct 21, 10am to 3pm
Location: Barrie – Allandale Recreation Centre – 190 Bayview Drive
Details: The event is a unique opportunity to enhance your philatelic collection, meet people with similar interests and exchange material and information. There will be eleven Philatelic dealers from across Ontario. Exhibits by members of the Barrie District Stamp Club will be judged by an accredited member of the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada.
Family Fright Fiesta

Details: Join in as the Pioneer Village is brought to life in the spirit of Halloween season. There will be lots of activities for the entire family, including a Halloween puppet show, scary stories from the library and other spooktacular happenings. Drysdale’s Thanksgiving and Halloween Festivities

The Halloween spirit is beginning to howl at Drysdale’s Tree Farm! Come out with the family for a day of frightful fun, pumpkin picking and Halloween shopping.
