Uber’s public transit service in Innisfil has been delayed.

The ride sharing service was set to begin transit duties for the town on Monday, but officials have decided to hold off.

A town spokesperson says the delay will give them time to fine tune the service.

Under the service, residents will be able to use Uber at a discounted rate to get around the town. Fares will vary between $3 and $5.

An exact start date hasn’t been announced, but officials say the intention is to have the service up and running by the end of the month.
