Police say they believe three people shot overnight in Richmond Hill -- two of them fatally -- were targeted.
York Regional Police are looking for two suspects after a man and a woman were fatally shot in a vehicle parked near a townhouse complex in Richmond Hill shortly after midnight.
Another man was rushed to hospital, where he remains in critical condition today.
Const. Andy Pattenden says evidence collected by investigators suggests the shooting (near Yonge Street and Major Mackenzie Drive East) was not a random crime.
He says police are still trying to identify the victims and he had few other details, such as their ages.
Pattenden says anyone with information about the incident, or what may have preceded it, should contact the police homicide unit
