Crews had to pull a man from his pick-up truck after it collided with a train near Utopia this afternoon.
Nottawasaga OPP say the call came in just before 4 p.m. for the crash at the crossing on the 6th Line south of the 30th Sideroad.
OPP, the Essa Fire Department members and Simcoe County Paramedics were on-scene working to pull the man out of the vehicle. He was alone in the truck.
He is being airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital.
Police have its Technical Traffic Collision Investigators on the way to help with the investigation.
The rail line will be closed from the north at the 6th line and 30th Sideroad and in the south at County Road 56 and the 30th Sideroad.
The crash scene is closed to motorists.
