Investigators were back on the scene of a house fire in Innisfil Thursday.

The fire broke out at the home on Benson Drive around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

Officials said everybody inside the home managed to safely escape.

Investigators believe the fire started in the garage.

"The car that was in the garage was on fire and it was leaking gas," said Deputy Chief Tom Raeburn. "It was very stubborn to get the car out and it was fueling the rest of the structure fire."

Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

The cause is still under investigation.
