Five roads in dire need of repair in Barrie didn’t make the CAA’s top 10 for the worst roads in the province, but the streets top the list for Central Ontario.

The Central Region’s top five worst roads are Morrow Road, Ferndale Drive North, Lockhart Road, Hurst Drive, and Huronia Road.

Davis Drive in Newmarket was the only road in York Region to make the list. Drivers have voted Davis Drive as the second worst road for the Halton-Peel-York and Durham Region.

As for Ontario’s top 10 worst roads, three streets in Timmins, Ont., have been voted onto CAA's list for 2015.

Algonquin Blvd., both west and east, have been named the two worst roads in the auto club's annual online poll.

That bumps Toronto's Dufferin St. from the top spot, which had held the dubious title for three years running.

The CAA says the rest of the top five include Highway 144 in Greater Sudbury and Carling Ave. in Ottawa, which was also among the top 10 in last year's poll.

Rounding out the top 10 are Port Dover's Radical Rd., Burlington St. E. in Hamilton, Riverside Dr. in Timmins, Dominion Rd. in Fort Erie and Bayview Ave. in Toronto.

The auto club says 90 per cent of participants say potholes and crumbling pavement were the reason why they voted.
