Twenty-four agriculture projects in Simcoe and Dufferin County are getting some funding from the provincial and federal governments.

The biggest benefactor of this deal is Reinhart Foods Limited in Stayner, which is getting more than $300,000. The company plans to use the funds to automate a specialty vinegar line and to implement a resource management system.

Beeton’s WD Potato Ltd., a company which offers transportation to potato chip processors, is getting $99,909 for cooling technology that will help them improve food quality during the summer months.

In Dufferin County, Village Fare Foods Inc. is getting around $15,000 to help them with food quality and marketing. The Mono based company makes pet snacks.

The province says the two levels of government are providing more than $1 million through the Growing Forward 2 initiative.
