Three people, including a taxi driver have been charged in a multi-jurisdictional drug bust.

On April 13, South Simcoe Police searched a home in Innisfil, where they found oxycodone and fentanyl.

Officers arrested a 23-year-old Innisfil man and charged him with trafficking a controlled substance and possession.

Officers were able to identify a second suspect and began monitoring him.

Fifteen days later, Barrie police stopped the man while he was driving a taxi on Ardagh Road. Officers arrested the driver and a front seat passenger.

A third person in the vehicle was a customer and was released without being charged. Police say he was trying to buy marijuana from the suspects when they were arrested.

Officers seized 170 grams of powdered narcotics. This included fentanyl, cocaine and heroin. There was also an ounce of marijuana and $2,000 cash.

The driver of the taxi, a 55-year-old Innisfil man, faces several charges including trafficking cocaine, trafficking heroin and possession. A 23-year-old Innisfil woman faces similar charges.

All three suspects will appear in court at a future date.
