Nicole King
ContactNicole started in journalism at A-Channel Calgary in 1998. She moved to Barrie to work at The New VR in 2000 to be closer to home. After working as a director at CP24, her expertise has been developed at CTV News Barrie by taking on several positions, most recently developing and running the Assignment Desk.
Nicole is fluent in English and is a graduate of Brock University with a degree in communications. She also has an advanced Broadcast Television diploma from Mohawk College in Hamilton.
Nicole enjoys researching and finding stories that matter to the local viewers. Everything from the quirky to the political to general information to help you get through your day. Nicole credits former CTV News Barrie Anchor Tony Grace with igniting her passion for local politics, and she is super invested in reading city council agendas.
Nicole loves trying out new recipes with her family and playing Animal Crossing on the Nintendo Switch when not at work.
