WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE SUBMITTING 

PHOTO SUBMISSION SIZING

Photos must be no smaller than 1920x1080 pixels - this is a standard television HD ratio. 

Please make sure your photo resolution is 72 dpi.

ACCEPTABLE FILE FORMATS

Please send jpeg or png format only.

WHY CAN'T I FIND MY PHOTO SUBMISSION?

This is a tricky question to answer, as it depends on many things. 

We receive hundreds of photo submissions for Picture This, and, unfortunately, are unable to air every entry in the newscast.  

Five photos are randomly selected to air during CTV News at 6. On Fridays, 16 photos are selected for the Picture This montage.

Keep sending in those Picture This submissions for a chance to see your photo on CTV News at 6.

IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES

• Make sure to attach or enclose your photo as part of the email. You might be surprised how many emails we receive that forget to do this important step.
• Look carefully at your photo and make sure it is in focus and good quality.
• Be mindful of the weekly assignment and only submit photos that are on topic. 
• Photos with blatant product placement or watermarks will not be used.
• Do not send the same photo multiple times.
