A Newmarket man has been charged over allegations of sexual assault involving a 13-year-old girl.
York Regional Police say they were contacted on Jan. 19 about an adult man having sexual conversations with a young teen.
Investigators say they later determined the man had sexual contact with the victim on more than one occasion. The alleged incidents took place between December 2015 and January.
Kevin Kong, 23, was arrested on Jan. 20 and was charged with three counts of sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching and sexual interference. Kong will appear in a Newmarket court on Feb. 17.
On Tuesday, police released Kong’s photo because they believe there may be other victims.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
