Provincial police are investigating a gravel truck rollover in Kawartha Lakes Tuesday morning.

Officers say the large truck full of gravel rolled onto its side around 7 a.m.

Police closed Mara Cardon Boundary Road at Scott’s Road for the cleanup.

Officials expect the area to reopen around 11 a.m., but traffic will be down to one lane while crews work to clean the spilled gravel from the ditch.

Motorists are asked to use caution in through area.

The driver, a 22-year-old man from Caledon, has been charged with careless driving and was handed a warning for the condition of the tires.
