One woman was taken to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Springwater Township.

Police, fire and ambulance took the call shortly before 8 a.m. Monday for a car that had crashed into a ditch at County Road 27 and Horseshoe Valley Road.

Jeff Kirk, director of fire and safety services in Springwater Township, said the 26-week pregnant woman was taken to hospital for assessment.

“It is a suspected medical emergency,” said Kirk of the collision.

Horseshoe Valley Road was closed for the investigation. It has since reopened.
