Weather warnings and advisories issued for the region

If you’re dreaming of a white Christmas, you might just be in luck.
"A white Christmas looks to be almost a certainty," said Environment Canada meteorologist Brad Rousseau.
Environment Canada issued two weather warnings for our region: one snowfall warning, and the second a weather advisory for Monday.

Significant snowfall is expected Monday afternoon through the night.
The national weather agency is calling for total snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 centimetres, with peak snowfall rates of two to three centimetres per hour.
Drivers on Highway 400 and Highway 11 are likely to find poor visibility and treacherous road conditions, Rousseau said.
Parts of Muskoka were hit hard by a major snowstorm earlier this month, and will receive upwards of 20 centimetres of heavy snowfall before Monday's system moves through the area.

Environment Canada has also issued a weather advisory for central Ontario, where snowfall accumulations are expected to be between 10 to 15 centimetres.
Snow is expected to begin Monday morning and continue to increase overnight.
The weather agency cautions drivers to expect quickly changing and deteriorating conditions as the day progresses.

As the weather system moves east, the snow is expected to ease into Tuesday.
