Police allege man failed to steal car after finding out it was standard
Barrie police are looking for a male suspect involved in an alleged car theft that ended up being quite unsuccessful.
Officials say the man allegedly entered an unlocked home near Yonge Street and Little Avenue in Barrie.
Once the man found his way inside the home, police allege he took a set of keys to a vehicle and attempted to take off in the car.

His plan did not follow through, as police confirmed the man could not drive the standard vehicle. It is unclear what happened to the car after the suspect reportedly tried to steal it.
