Over 20 vehicles failed to meet safety standards: OPP

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team spent their Tuesday conducting commercial vehicle checks in Midland.

Police say they checked over 20 vehicles along Heritage Drive, two of which were taken off the road after failing to meet safety standards.

OPP say 12 warning were given out to drivers for safety and paperwork infractions along with a handful of provincial offences.

If you see a possible impaired operator on our roadways, waterways or trails, officials encourage people to dial 911 as impaired driving never ends well.
