It is important to note, COVID-19 assessment centres are not walk-in clinics. 
There are several assessment centres open across the region.
Here is a list of where to find one in your area:

BarrieThe centre is located at the back of the complex at 490 Huronia Road, not at the urgent care clinic.
The Huronia Road location will be open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you DO NOT have symptoms but want to be tested go to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre – “Clinic C” Drive-Thru only at 201 Georgian Drive – Atrium entrance (look for the three flagpoles).
Seven days a week from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for drive-thru visits only.
Appointments can be made by calling 705-797-3120. This phone line is only answered during clinic hours. If you do have an appointment, do not join the line of cars; carefully drive past and proceed to the parking spots marked A or B.

RVH opened a new testing clinic at the former Barrie Police Services headquarters at 29 Sperling Drive, offering pre-booked appointments.
The clinic will open for drive-thru testing from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. later in the week of Sept. 28.
COVID-19 appointments at RVH’s testing clinic at Sperling Drive can be booked through the health centre’s website.

The Prince William Way walk-in clinic is also offering testing at 829 Big Bay Point Road.
Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

Orillia
The assessment centre is located at the Kiwanis Building, 170 Colborne Street West.  The clinic can be accessed from the Volunteer Drive entrance.
It operates weekdays from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekends.

Collingwood
The assessment centre is located in a tent in the parking lot of the medical centre at 186 Erie Street.
Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Midland
The assessment centre is located at 1156 St. Andrews Drive in the clinic building in the Georgian Bay General Hospital parking lot. 
By appointment only, call 705-529-1025, seven days a week 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Assessment centre is open Mon, Wed, Fri 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tues, Thurs 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Muskoka
The clinic is located in a portable at 75 Ann Street in Bracebridge.  The assessment centre is open by appointment only.
To book an appointment, patients must call 1-888-383-7009, but only after being advised to be seen at the centre. Phones are answered Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Alliston
The Stevenson Memorial Hospital's assessment centre is located in the lower parking lot at 200 Fletcher Crescent.
It is open three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Newmarket
The assessment centre is located in a medical field tent close to the east entrance at Southlake Regional Health Centre. 
Patients must register before visiting the centre by calling 905-895-4521 ext. 2162, select option 1.
The centre is open from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. for anyone experiencing symptoms of the virus.

Orangeville
Headwaters Health Care Centre opened a centre to patients with symptoms of COVID-19 seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It is a self-contained, semi-permanent, hard-sided tent located on the top parking lot at 140 Rolling Hills Drive.
Patients will drive thru and be assessed while remaining inside their vehicles.

Grey Bruce
Owen Sound - A portable assessment centre is set up outside the entrance to the emergency department at the Owen Sound Hospital.
The centre operates from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and patients must bring a mask.
Kincardine - A portable is located between Kincardine Hospital and the medical clinic.  It is open weekdays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

What to know before heading to an assessment centre

  • Use the online screening tool to determine if you need to be assessed
  • If you can manage your symptoms at home, stay at home in self-isolation
  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms that are unmanageable at home, go to an assessment centre to see a health professional
  • Wear a mask and bring your health card
