A Barrie man has been charged, following a two month child pornography investigation.

The Barrie Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit launched an investigation on May 7. After 10 weeks of investigating, officers executed a search warrant on Wednesday at a Barrie home.

A 36-year-old man was arrested and several computers were seized. The evidence will now be further examined.

The accused has been charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, one count of making available child pornography, one count of accessing child pornography and one count of possession under the controlled substance act.

The Barrie man will appear in a bail court on July 16.
