A 19-year-old woman had to be airlifted to hospital after a two-vehicle crash near Edenvale on Thursday morning.
OPP and Springwater Fire were called to the crash on Highway 26 between Horseshoe Valley Road and Fralick Road around 8:30 a.m.
Police say construction crews were removing old tar from the road when a Nissan vehicle rear-ended a flatbed delivery truck that was stopped for the construction.
The woman suffered serious injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle and was airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital. The person driving the truck was not injured.
Police closed down Highway 26 for nearly four hours while OPP investigated the crash.
Highway 26 reopened just before 12:30 p.m.
