Provincial police have identified the victims of a fatal plane crash in Seguin Township as a Tillsonburg, Ont. couple.

The 59-year-old man and the 55-year-old woman died when their two-seat Cessna aircraft crashed on Nov. 9 at around 7:30 p.m. The couple was married for 34 years.

The plane crashed into a wooded area shortly after takeoff from the Parry Sound Area Municipal Airport.

Investigators say the plane was headed for Tillsonburg, which is located just outside of London.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is continuing to probe the exact cause of the crash and is looking into how dark it was during takeoff.

The TSB originally said there didn’t appear to be any signs of mechanical failure.
