Police are searching for a man after a robbery at a Barrie’s Loblaws earlier this week.
The incident happened around 4:00 a.m. on Monday, April 20th when a man knocked on the employee entrance to the Loblaws on Bayfield Street.
Police say the man was allowed into the store by a trusting employee who was led to believe he was part of a cleaning crew that worked in the store overnight.
Once inside the store, police say the man tried to open a till but was unsuccessful. Police say the man then located personal belongings of employees who were working and took their identification and money before leaving the store. .
He is described as:
- White
- Mid to late 20’s
- Approx. 5’8” – 5’10”
- Unshaven with a thin moustache
- Tattoo on left forearm
He was wearing a grey/blue hoodie, light blue t-shirt underneath, red Montreal Expos baseball cap, dark running shoes and black watch on left wrist.
