A 911 call reporting a man with a gun forced Bobcaygeon Public School to be locked down today for over an hour.
The OPP got the call from the school’s principal this morning.
Police say the school was put into lockdown to keep staff and students safe. After a search of the area, police were able to learn the gun reported was an air rifle.
No charges are being laid in the incident.
However, they’re reminding anyone who owns weapons – or similar items – to be aware of their surroundings when the guns are visible to the public.
