A man is in hospital with critical injuries after he was struck by a train north of Beaverton.
According to Durham Regional Police, the 38-year-old man was walking in the area of Concession Road 9 and Shoreline Road on Thursday night when he was struck by the train.
The Beaverton man was airlifted to a Toronto hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation.
