Provincial police say a 62-year-old Haliburton man was killed in a shooting incident in Dysart in the Haliburton Highlands on Sunday.
Provincial police responded to a report of gunshots being fired in the area of Highway 118 and County Road 3, shortly after 6 p.m.
When they arrived, OPP say they found one man dead. Investigators believe the man had been shot.
A 40-year-old Haliburton man was found a short time later with suspected gunshot wounds. He was airlifted to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries, but is now listed in stable condition.
The OPP criminal investigation branch, along with the OPP forensic identification services unit are investigating.
