A seven-year-old girl was airlifted to SickKids Hospital in Toronto in critical condition today after falling off the back of a boat and being hit by the propeller.
The girl, who was wearing a life jacket, was pulled out of the Lake Rosseau and taken to shore where a land ambulance took her out to Highway 141, where an air ambulance could safely land.
She was then flown to SickKids Hospital in Toronto, where she remains with a serious leg injury.
It's not clear whether police will be pursuing any charges relating to the accident.
The incident happened near a private cottage in Skeleton Bay on Lake Rosseau. The marine unit is investigating the incident, which only involved the one boat.
