Collingwood's waterfront is getting a new look.

This week crews started putting in new docks.

More than 200 metres of dock is being installed this summer.  The first phase was going in this week.  The idea is to create space for about 30 boats - giving boaters access to downtown.

The next phase of the work will be completed in august.  This spring, Collingwood council set aside more than $400,000 to install the docks.  A survey done by the downtown business association showed boaters spend between $50 and $250 dollars a day when they can dock in a town.
