With no incumbent in the riding of Barrie-Springwater-Oro-Medonte, federal candidates are vying for voter support.

The campaign office for Green candidate Marty Lancaster is a buzz of activity just one week before election day.

The high school environmental science and physics teacher says his students inspired him to run. His focus in the riding is on homelessness. "I stepped over a homeless guy in the stairwell just coming here this morning. We have to work on this."
