The jury in a murder trial surrounding the death of a man who was stabbed with a broken golf club watched a video this afternoon showing the last minutes of the victim’s life.

Matthew Spring, 21-years-old, is charged with the second-degree murder of Bradley Hubbard, 42-years-old, of Collingwood.

Spring was 18 when he was charged after an altercation at the Putting Edge in the south end of Barrie on August 13th, 2011.

In the video Bradley Hubbard, who weighed over 300 pounds, is seen walking into the lobby bare-chested with his hand on his bleeding neck.

He then asks staff to call 911.

He sits down on a chair and says "I think I'm dying" and then collapses.

Court has heard the broken club cut his jugular vein and carotid artery.

One staff member told court she recalls seeing Spring and two teens he was with that night leaving the building while Hubbard was still sitting on the chair.

She testified Spring "sounded scared" as he pointed at Hubbard and said "that guy's crazy."

Earlier the jury heard that Hubbard grabbed Spring’s brother by the neck and held him against the wall of the mini-golf course.

The jury has also heard that the indoor mini-golf course was very noisy and very dark and witnesses didn't get a good view of what happened that night.

Spring’s defence lawyer has argued that this is a case of self-defense.

The trial continues tomorrow.
