The autopsy on three charred bodies found in Oro-Medonte will take place early next week.

Provincial police say they were found in a burned out car by firefighters on Friday morning and were burned beyond identification.

Bruce Duncan works at Duncor Enterprises across the street from where the car was found.

“This will be the reason we put up video surveillance on our property.”

A police cruiser and the OPP Command Unit remained at the scene on Saturday afternoon. Police are still saying very little but did say a driver passing by on Highway 11 called in the fire around 5:40 a.m.

Once the fire was out, police found what they believe were remains of three people inside. The vehicle and remains were then shipped to Toronto for analysis.

Just down the road from the crime scene is Hollywood North Auto Parts. The company uses the road to test new vehicles.

“I want to know what happened. Is someone going to around killing people? Was it an accident? Was something wrong with the car?” says Stephen Vair.

The autopsy were scheduled to be done on Saturday but police now say they won’t be done until sometime next week.

Police still don’t know what kind of vehicle it was.

“That’s something the Centre of Forensic Sciences conducts. They are going to do a detailed scientific process,” says OPP Constable Graeme Knox.

This is not the first time police have been called to the area across from the Sunset Barrie Drive-In. In May of 2002, the bodies of two people were found and police called that incident a homicide.

Police say the road will remain closed and under police guard until the autopsy is complete and that could be several days.
