Two youths have been charged after they were allegedly found with a rifle and more than 100 rounds of ammunition.

On Wednesday, Orangeville police received reports of two youths armed with a gun. Officers launched an investigation and police say they found the pair in possession of a .22 calibre rifle.

Police also say the youths had ammunition, and break-in tools.

The youths have been charged with several offences, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Both youths were held for a bail hearing.
