Marilyn Pidlaoan of Rosemont has more than 18-million reasons to smile and celebrate after striking it rich with LOTTO 6/49.

Marilyn won $18,308,199.90 in the January 30, 2016 LOTTO 6/49 draw.

“I’ve been so busy at work that I didn’t have time to check my tickets until just yesterday,” confessed Marilyn while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where she picked up her incredible windfall. Husband Paul and daughter Kristle shared the exciting moment with Marilyn.

Marilyn scanned a stack of tickets at the self-checker and saw a number come up. “I thought it said $18-thousand so I grabbed my ticket and left the store to call Paul.” He arrived moments later and together, scanned the ticket again. Paul declared, “Marilyn, this is $18-million!”

“My legs were so wobbly, I needed Paul to help me to my car. When we got home, we called the people closest to us, my father-in-law and our daughter, to share the news,” said Marilyn.

It’s been a whirlwind 24-hours for Marilyn who admits she hasn’t slept much. “It’s all too much to take in right now but I do know I want to share this money with my brothers and sisters in the Philippines and I would love to pay for my young grandson’s education,” she said through happy tears.

Marilyn wants to treat her husband too.

“Paul is getting a brand new tractor and a nice pair of cowboy boots too!”
