A portable toilet that has been in a rather messy state at Sunnidale Park in Barrie has been cleaned.
CTV News spoke with residents on Tuesday about the “unusable toilet” in the park. The service tag inside the bathroom indicated it hadn't been cleaned since 2015.
However, a spokesperson for Jenco Equipment Inc., the company contracted to provide and maintain the portable toilet, says the one at Sunnidale Park is cleaned once a week, usually on Tuesdays.
They added that while the service tags may not be updated regularly, the toilet is cleaned weekly between October and June. It is cleaned twice weekly through the busier summer months.
The City of Barrie has also installed a second porta potty at the park.
