For a third day in a row, a York Regional Police command post was stationed outside Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket.
Investigators are hoping someone will stop by with information about a suspect they believe is responsible for a number of sexual assaults in Newmarket.
"We want the public to know that we're here, that we're serious about this. It's concerning to the organization and to myself personally,” says Det. Const. Mike Cook.
“I feel that we should be here, so people if they want information or if they want to provide information they can come up and talk to us about this issue or any other issue they might have."
Police say five women were approached by a man between Aug. 18 and Oct. 13.
One of these incidents happened in the mall parking lot. The others have happened in the area between Yonge Street, Bathurst Street, Green Lane and Davis Drive.
The suspect is described as white, between the ages of 20 to 25, approximately five-foot-five, and weighing between 125 and 130 pounds with a thin build.
Police have been getting tips since setting up their post and want to see more come in.
"I just urge that people if they think they might know something, no matter how small, nothing is too small for us to look into," says Cook.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or anonymously Crime Stoppers.
