Investigators are back at the scene of an arson in Barrie that destroyed a garage on Friday morning.

Barrie police and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office were back at the Livingstone Street West home on Sunday,  trying to determine the exact cause of the $200,000 fire.

The blaze broke out on Friday at around 1 a.m. Five people were able to escape the house before flames were able to move to the second floor.

A man taken to hospital with minor injuries has been charged with arson endangering life and arson property damage.

The accused will appear in a Barrie courtroom on Monday.
