Things may get a little frosty overnight as temperatures dip to near freezing for the second time this month.

Environment Canada issued a frost advisory on Wednesday afternoon, as an arctic high pressure system moves into central Ontario.

The advisory has been issued for:

  • Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
  • Innisfil - New Tecumseth - Angus
  • Orangeville - Grand Valley - Dufferin County
  • Shelburne - Mansfield

Environment Canada is forecasting a temperature low of 0 C for Barrie and parts of Simcoe County.

With temperature predicted around the freezing mark, the weather authority says some crops and plants may be damaged by frost.

This is the second time this month a frost advisory was issued. Environment Canada issued an advisory on Oct. 1 for most of the region.
