The first official Simcoe County high school slo-pitch champions were crowned June 4, 2013.

The sport was only added to the schedule this year and all 11 teams played in a final tournament in Barrie. Nantyr Shores and Eastview made it through to the championship game.

And the game featured something you don't see every day at any level of ball – the Nantyr Shores Tritons turning a triple-play.

They went on to lead the game 8-3 but Eastview came all the way back to take it 9-8 in extra innings.

Jessie Ulens had the winning hit as the Wildcats became the inaugural Simcoe County slo-pitch champions.

Park Street won the triple-A championship.
