An Angus man is in hospital unable to speak after an assault last night in Essa Township.
The 21-year-old man was walking in the area of Margaret Street and Vernon Street, at around 7:30 p.m. when police say he was assaulted by someone with an edged weapon.
The OPP believe the man was able to make it back home, where someone called paramedics. He was taken to hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Police are now asking any witnesses to come forward.
