Advisories have been issued for three beaches in Simcoe County.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit issued the advisory for Bayview Memorial Park in Oro-Medonte, Waterfront Park in Penetanguishene, and Washago Centennial Park Beach in Severn.

The beaches aren’t closed, but the SMDHU says there is an increase risk of developing minor infections and stomach disorders. Advisories are issued when the bacteria count in the water gets too high.

The health unit recommends not dunking your head under or swallowing the water.

Signs cautioning the advisory are posted at the beaches.
