Students and staff at a Caledon high school were placed in a lockdown for a police investigation Tuesday afternoon.

Caledon OPP says officers responded to a weapon-related incident around 1 p.m. involving two youths at Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School.

As a precaution, police initiated the lockdown measure, meaning students and staff must remain in their classrooms with the doors shut. No one is allowed to enter or leave the building.

Members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, OPP Central Region Canine Unit, and OPP Emergency Response Team were called to assist with the investigation.

Police say two teens were taken into custody. They did not disclose whether a weapon was found.

The lockdown was lifted around 3:30 p.m.

Police confirmed no one was injured. There is no word on any charges.

The authorities also did not reveal further details on the investigation.

They ask anyone with information about the situation to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
