A dermatologist based in Barrie for more than 30 years was back in a courtroom Wednesday facing serious allegations including sexual assault.
Dr. Rod Kunynetz is facing 11 counts of sexual assault and one count of gross indecency.
The charges stem from allegations dating back to the late 1990s.
The matter is in the preliminary hearing stage which will help the courts decided if the case goes to trial. A publication ban prohibits any reporting of what was said in the court room.
Kunynetz has not been practicing since the fall of 2015 when his medical license was suspended by the College of Physicians and Surgeons.
The criminal case is separate from the disciplinary hearing by the college.
None of the allegations have been tested in court.
The preliminary hearing is scheduled to last three more days.
