NEWMARKET, Ont. -- Police say there are reports of a bear roaming a community about 50 kilometres north of Toronto.
York Regional Police say they received a call about a black bear in a backyard in Newmarket, Ont., on Sunday morning.
A spokeswoman says officers responding to the call were unable to locate the animal.
She says there were reports of a bear in another area of Newmarket on Saturday.
Police are warning people to not approach the bear and call police if they see it.
