A 53-year-old man is facing charges after a Barrie Police cruiser was vandalized at the Royal Victoria Regional Heath Centre.

Police were called to RVHat around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 after a witness saw aman damaging the vehicle.

Investigatorsbelievethe man was leaving the hospital when he approached the vehicle in the parking lot. It was locked and noofficers were around.

Police say the man pulled a number of external wiring harnesses from the cruiser at the front and rear, bending the rear licence plate upwards to gain access to the wires.

The gas cap was also broken off and thrown into a nearby garbage can.

The manis now facing two charges:mischief over $5,000 and theft under $5,000.
