South Simcoe Police is investigating after a confirmed case of animal abuse.
Police were called to Limerick Street in Gilford area of Innisfil around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning after Anna Bizzarro found the skinned remains of a 5-month-old kitten.
The kitten’s body and organs are missing and Bizzaro says it was one of many stray cats in the area she had been caring for and she doesn’t understand how anyone could have done this.
“It disgusts me, worries me…if a person could do that to a little tiny kitten. I was holding it in my arms and playing with it last night and then I find her skinned.”
At this point police do not have any leads or suspects.
South Simcoe Police are asking anyone with information to call them.
