Barrie Fire was busy late Friday night battling a fire at a home on Henry Street.

Fire crews were called to the home just after 11 p.m. after smoke was seen coming from the lower unit of the house.

Fire officials say all occupants and pets safely made it out of the home but are in temporary accommodations due to heavy amounts of smoke.

Barrie Fire says the fire did extensive damage to the lower unit's kitchen.
