A man suffered non-life threatening injuries after a car rolled on Highway 400 Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the crash happened in the southbound lanes between Highway 9 and Canal Road at around 4:30pm.

An Ornge air ambulance was called to the scene and transported a man to a Toronto hospital.

OPP say it appears the vehicle may have caught the edge of the soft gravel shoulder and the driver lost control.

The crash closed the southbound lanes of the highway for several hours but they reopened just before 8pm.
