Police are investigating after more human remains were found on Christian Island.
An officer with the Anishinabek Police Service tells CTV News they were notified of the remains near West Beach on Thursday morning. Members of the OPP Forensic Identification Services have been called in to assist.
There is no word on how long the investigation will take.
This is the second time human remains have been found on the island this month. On May 1st, remains were discovered in the area of Big Sand Bay. Those remains were identified as those of Wilfred Oscar Burnside, a realtor and teacher from Owen Sound.
Burnside went missing on November 7 after going on a flight in his small Cessna plane from Cornwall to Owen Sound. He was supposed to land at the airport in Owen Sound but never arrived.
