A Fenelon Falls man has been charged in the 2015 murder of a Bowmanville man.
OPP officers arrested William Savage on Wednesday and charged him with first-degree murder in the death of David Palmer. The accused appeared before a court in Lindsay on Thursday.
Police say Palmer, 47, vanished Oct. 2, 2015. His vehicle was found 12 days later in the Haliburton area.
Emergency crews conducted searches over the course of seven months and located his body north of the village on May 6.
Investigators are still trying to locate Palmer’s wallet, Samsung flip phone and a St. Louis Blues baseball hat. Police say these items were with Palmer when he went missing.
